Manage Patient Journeys Across Social and Community Care Settings with Engage CRS

Engage Care Referral Services (CRS) is a new Engage Health Systems product for non-GP services within health and social care. CRS can be used as a stand-alone online consultation system or in conjunction with Engage Consult across a network of providers to help seamlessly manage patient journeys between NHS services. CRS is an ideal solution for mental health services, urgent care, community services e.g., MSK, sexual health, care homes and community pharmacies.

Key features

  • Full integration with the 3 leading GP clinical systems (TPP SystmOne, Emis Web and Vision LAN & Aeros), allowing community services to add activity to the patient’s electronic medical record for completeness.

  • Patient access using NHS login credentials.

  • A floating toolbar to retrieve online consultations, send outbound messages or start a video consultation.

  • Engage Messaging – safe, secure, and sophisticated asynchronous direct messaging (similar to using SMS, Facebook, or WhatsApp) between the service and patient or proxy.

  • Video consultation for up to 4 individuals (e.g., healthcare professional, patient, interpreter, and advocate/carer).

  • Service customisable content configurable by the organisation.

  • User customisable workflow ensures that the most appropriate healthcare professional is allocated to meet the patient’s needs, for example this could be an Emergency care Practitioner rather than a doctor in a walk-in centre.

  • Search, sort, and filter requests.

  • Outbound Patient Messaging, enabling users to send and receive images, documents, leaflets, and self-help treatment advice by SMS, email, or Engage Messaging prior to consultation.

  • Collaboration – enabling healthcare professionals to share information and get support, advice, and guidance from specialists, reducing inappropriate referrals.

  • Access to Instant Medical History (IMH) questionnaires specific to service needs. Providing services with comprehensive symptom histories in easy-to-read narrative style reports including any associated scores or scales, enabling patients to be prioritised based upon need.

  • Fully configurable hours of operation from 24/7 to set hours per day.
