Widespread transmission of coronavirus in the UK is now “highly likely”, Public Health England has recently said. Therefore we are advising all our Engage Consult customers to continue directing patients to use their online consultation system, Engage Consult, in the first instance. This will help manage risk by reducing the number of patients visiting the practice, whilst still treating and helping patients.
You can increase the use of Engage Consult by your patients by following these steps:
- Make sure that the banner on your website points correctly to Engage Consult (the URL is found in my.wiggly-amps.com), is at the top of your website (desktop and mobile), and clearly signposted
- Update your phone messages, and ensure both this and your website information is correct and advises patients to use Engage Consult.
- As advice on travel is updated frequently, don’t forget that you can also create your own free text questions to reflect the latest advice.
- Remind staff to mention online consultations when they’re speaking to patients.
Should staff need to be “Self Isolating”, as Engage Consult is a web based product it can be reviewed by staff working from home, so long as they have the appropriate IT in place.
